The ideal candidate will be a collaborative partner and leader in the integrated brand design, concepting and design of women's catalogs, as well as the directing of lifestyle and studio photoshoots. This role also works cross-functionally with other creative channels to implement women's creative assets in retail, web, e-mail and social.

What You'll Do:
Have a strong understanding of our brand's graphic standards and be highly creative with a desire to push the brand and storytelling within our guidelines
Work closely with our copywriters concepting seasonal omni-channel campaigns while adhering to the strong visual storytelling of the Women's brand and real women models which consists of:
Participate in brainstorm sessions and check-in's with the team to stay on track with the campaign schedule. Lead and communicate tasks to be accomplished at meetings
Brainstorming scenarios, locations and choose/cast models whose story/activity best reflect the product's end use
Help determine campaign workloads and art direct designers on concept ideas for page layouts, review work and gave feedback once concepts were received.
Art direct outside illustrators to sketch up scenarios that were concepted for lifestyle imagery or stylized laydowns to be shot in studio
Present seasonal omni-channel concept ideas for approval
from internal partners
Ownership of monthly catalogs from concept to on-time completion that include the following duties:
Merchandise product by spread and paginate catalogs
Execute page layout designs created at concepting with final approved assets from lifestyle photography or in-studio stylized laydowns
Create on brand type lockups for headlines (AD must have strong typography skills and understand what the main message is that needs to be amplified)
Mentor and direct the women's production/design team, as well as managing deadlines and have knowledge of the production process
Art direct visually compelling stylized laydowns in studio for catalog
Present catalogs to internal partners, incorporating feedback and inventory/pagination changes as required
Review and approve layouts, proof and approve color printer proofs to ensure high quality and timely completion of projects with our partners and printers
Schedule and manage freelance designers based on workload
Responsible for the curation and art direction of photo assets for use across all channels of the Women's brand (catalog, web, retail)
Participate in the planning of all product to be shot on location and in the studio for the web (on and off figure), prepare shot list documents and communicated to preppers, stylists, freelance art directors, photographers. Plan shoot logistics with the producer to hit shot counts needed
Work with Senior Art Director to select models for outfits, attend model casting, plan and run model fit session
Collaborate with the women's team to direct and maintain style guides for on-figure photography, web laydown styling, and stylized laydowns
Art direct web laydowns, stylized laydowns, and on-fig web photography
Assist in the selection and creation of the season's library of best assets for omni-channel use
Communicate with and art direct outside photographers, stylists, freelance art directors to ensure that all creative assets meet our expectations in terms of quality, art specifications, file type and deadlines
Adhere to company policies and procedures as well as executing any required controls under the company's SOX 404 and PCI programs
What We're Looking for:
Prior design leadership as an art director
Experience art directing studio photography and lifestyle photography
Well established history of working with creative teams, business/product teams, photographers, stylists and illustrators
Print design, especially catalog and print collateral, are a must
Strong Typography Skills
Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or comparable field of study
10+ year's experience in a related environment
Proficiency in the following applications on a Mac platform:
Font handling software
Excellent organizational, communication and leadership skills
Expertise in preparing various file formats for publication and experience with color management
Able to give and take direction from multiple internal clients and distill into compelling marketing messages and designs
Strong interpersonal, written communication and presentation skills

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
