Essential Duties and Responsibilities FUNCTION% of timeOperate all types of tools essential and necessary to the job, including but not limited to, hand drill, hammer, needle gun, caulk gun, chisel, utility knives, putty scraper, disk sander, rivet gun, impact wrench, huck gun, router, grinder and tape measure.
Other duties as necessary.
25-50%Prepare metal surfaces.
Clean trailer components with solvents.
0-30%Caulk all required trailer seams and joints.
Position and fasten parts together with bolts, screws, rivets or other fasteners.
Assemble sub-assemblies such as, but not limited to, brake hoses, light boxes, axles, air brake systems, nose boxes, wiring harnesses, tire-rim mounting, doors, walls, etc.
Drill through aluminum, steel and wood.
25-50%Perform measurement layouts per blue prints.
Perform all assigned tasks in a safe, efficient, timely, accurate and highly productive manner according to company policy.
100%Contribute to the team effort to produce a quality product.
100%Attend scheduled work hours on a regular and timely basis.
Maintain good attendance.
100%Ability to work mandatory overtime.
100%Ability to work and communicate in a team environment.
100%Other duties may be assigned as required by the company.

Coach and mentor people within the assigned area.

Must be able to perform each essential function and responsibility of the job satisfactorily in accordance with company productivity and quality requirements.
Must be able to work at a fast pace, experiment, and express opinions regarding work methods and blueprints.
Be accountable for errors.
Must have 6-12 months related experience and/or training.
Must maintain high standards of quality and work performance, including direct assistance to supervisor as needed.
Must be able to read and understand blueprints, tape measures and company documents for area.
