Come work at Mount Horeb Area School District! We are currently seeking to hire a highly dedicated Special Education Transition Teacher/Coordinator at our High School.

What Your Day Will Look Like:
Part of your day will be spent delivering work skills instruction to students with special needs as well as supporting and coaching students in the community workplace.
This position has a newly acquired community based site so you will be able to develop, expand, and build a transition program that is in the heart of the Mount Horeb Community.
You will also have the benefit of working with a team of special education teachers and special education paraprofessionals.
Experience with implementing inclusive programming and assistive technology is desired.
There is a Program Support Diagnostician and very supportive administration who support this program and are willing to jump in to help.

Our Ideal Candidate:
Interested candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain a Wisconsin DPI Special Education License (1801) with ability to work with grades 9-12 at minimum.
Experience with community-based programming and job development.
Job coaching experience, is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to build positive, nurturing relationships with all learners.
Ability to maintain a positive and safe learning environment.
Collaborative and solution oriented mindsets.
Ability to be flexible and adaptable, especially during times of change.
Demonstrates good communication skills, including ability to guide and supervise groups of students, maintain confidentiality, and work with students in a positive and motivational manner.
Demonstrates proficient office skills with computers and software.
Able to interact with others effectively, follow directions and initiate activities independently.
Enjoy working students and staff.
Demonstrates and supports a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion Bilingual applicants are preferred with the ability to understand and communicate with Spanish speaking students.
