What You'll Do:
Perform a wide range of network administration duties including installations, debugging, maintenance, upgrades, and general support for Palo Alto, Cisco, and Meraki network equipment both on-premise and cloud. Evaluate, test, and deploy all software and hardware upgrades to the networking infrastructure. Assist in the configuration and deployment of core and peripheral network devices, which will require continuous learning of new devices. Proactive monitoring of all network devices and services to ensure high availability. Collect and review network utilization data for capacity and planning purposes. Interface with vendors for procurement & maintenance of all IT infrastructures. Manage & troubleshoot network and Internet connectivity throughout the organization. Research, evaluate and recommend technologies to support business requirements. Collaborate with and support the work of other staff engaged in similar functions. Provide emergency 24 x 7 on-call support on a rotating basis. Collaborate across teams and departments to resolve issues and engage in process improvement. Work with vendors as needed to onboard new systems or to maintain existing systems. Document work thoroughly, both in the Incident Management system and in the knowledge base, for use as a reference by other staff. Write and maintain scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks. What We're Looking For:
A Degree in Networking, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related work experience Professional-Technical Certification like CCNA is preferred 3-5 years of experience in Network Administration. 2 years of experience with network switches/routers (e.g. Cisco, Meraki), wireless networking equipment (e.g. Cisco, Meraki), and firewalls/security appliances (e.g. Palo Alto). Experience in a large, enterprise environment Azure cloud and SolarWinds monitoring experience Strong knowledge of networking, including TCP/IP, vlans, Ethernet, switching, routing, and routing protocols (BGP/OSPF), and DNS/DHCP. Strong technical aptitude and ability to research & solve complex issues independently Willingness and ability to learn new skills and apply them as needed. Ability to effectively communicate issues and resolutions to all levels of the organization.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
System & Network Administration, Systems Architecture & EngineeringEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
